5 Things ‘Batman v Superman’ Tells Us about the DC Extended Universe

After years of anticipation, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is now out in the world for all to see. The film got off to a solid start box office-wise, which is a good sign for Warner Bros. This is an incredibly important film for the studio that serves as the foundation for the DC Extended Universe to come, and with two further films already in the can and another about to start production, the ball is already rolling, so there’s a lot riding on the success of Batman v Superman.

Indeed, while Man of Steel retroactively fits into the interconnected “DC Extended Universe,” Batman v Superman is the first film of Warner Bros.’ that was built from the ground up with the explicit purpose of existing within said universe.
