Last night on Conan, director Zack Snyder brought a clip from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and claimed that it was new footage. It was pretty much the recent TV spot we saw: the Batmobile rams Superman, Superman rips the top off, Batman asks “Do you bleed?” before Superman flies away and then follows up with “You will,” because they’re enemies until they inevitably become pals, you see.

This clip does add a little bit more Superman, and to be fair it makes the film slightly more intriguing because I want to see what pushes Superman to the point of becoming so domineering. My concern is that this will be a movie of warring fascists where a god and a vigilante square off and it doesn’t matter who wins because actually helping people is an afterthought. Maybe Snyder is trying to deconstruct the superhero genre (I don’t give him that much credit), but right now it just looks like he’s setting the stage for a massive brawl that the fanboys demand.

So does this clip get you excited for that fight, or are you more concerned about what he’s doing with the characters? Watch the clip below and sound off in the comments. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25th, and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter, and Scoot McNairy.

Here’s the official synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
