Filming on Batman vs. Superman will be underway soon, and that means the rumor mill is about to change.  Right now, we're operating in almost complete darkness.  We know some casting and that's about it.  But once the cameras start rolling and set photos start leaking, a new picture begins begin to emerge, one with its own special brand of speculation and confusion.  But before we reach that point, there are four new rumors to chew on regarding the highly-anticipated superhero movie.  First, while Lex Luthor hasn't been confirmed for the upcoming sequel, most fans are betting on seeing the chrome-domed menace challenging the Man of Steel.  However, Batman-on-Film is reporting that while Luthor will be in the movie, there's another villain in the mix as well.  His sources also say that the second villain will not be one of Batman's baddies.

When Gadot was announced as Wonder Woman, the movie started to look a bit crowded.  There's nothing wrong with Wonder Woman, but Superman already has to share the screen with Batman, and then you're trying to squeeze in another hero, and a lot of people don't even know her origin story.  But according to Batman-on-Film, Batman vs. Superman is "is truly a Superman film."  Furthermore:

The film’s bad guys are Superman villains and Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel/Clark Kent is the main character. Of course, Batfleck will play a major role in the movie; but I suspect that one of the main reasons for Batman’s inclusion is to establish a new “DCU on Film Batman” and set up future solo Bat-flicks. Same goes for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman – though I think her role is much smaller than BA’s Batman.

Batman-on-Film describes Wonder Woman's role as a "cameo-plus" along the lines of Black Widow in Iron Man 2.  That's not a particularly bad way to handle it, especially when you've already got Batman in the picture.  Personally, I'm happy that it will keep the focus on Superman.  We've had eight years of Batman, and now it's time for Superman to have his time to shine.

Finally, Jason Momoa is in talks to join the movie, and Batman-on-Film says unequivocally that he's not playing Martian Manhunter or Aquaman because neither character is in the movie.
