Your excuse to check back in on the silliest show on television has arrived. Fox just unveiled a new promo for Gotham touting an exclusive preview of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that will air during Monday’s episode. This must be what producer Charles Roven was referring to when he recently told us that we’d see something from Batman v Superman “very soon”, although most took that to mean a new trailer would be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. That’s still possible, but for now if you want to see new footage from Batman v Superman ASAP, you’ll want to watch Gotham (or keep refreshing the YouTube page) on Monday.

The promo for the event is actually pretty clever, as the prequel series’ stars weigh in on who they’d pick, Batman or Superman. Fox is clearly hoping to rack up the ratings for Monday’s fall finale, and I imagine this will work. Fan interest in the DC Cinematic Universe pic has been at a fever pitch for the better part of a year, as director Zack Snyder kept the marketing machine rolling throughout production with expertly timed teases and reveals.

The timing of the promo is also curious, as Marvel Studios just released the first trailer for its big 2016 superhero movie Captain America: Civil War to a pretty rapturous response. While things are certainly civil from a professional standpoint, the subtle rivalry going on between Marvel and Warner Bros. is admittedly kind of fun to follow.

Check out the promo below, which is interspersed with Batman v Superman footage. Gotham airs on Monday, November 30th at 8/7c. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Jesse Eisenberg and opens in theaters on March 25, 2016.
