While you may not have noticed (I was updating the entire time) a little over a week ago I flew to Hawaii to attend Universal’s “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” TV junket. While it was a very short 48 hours, I have to say… if you can ever can get to the Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu, it’s well worth it. Not only do they sometimes film “Lost” near the resort, but it’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the normal tourists. You can wander around by yourself to take in the beautiful surroundings; it was a hell of a place to hold a movie junket.

So about “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”….

By now a lot of you know about the film (which opens April 18th) as Universal has been promoting it like crazy. All over Los Angeles -and cities around the country -are those billboards that say you suck Sarah Marshall. Or you do look fat in those jeans. It’s a ballsy move but Universal knows they have a hit movie on their hands.

But if you’re one of those people that doesn't know anything about it…

Struggling musician Peter Bretter (Jason Segel, Knocked Up, How I Met Your Mother) has spent six years idolizing his girlfriend, television star Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell, Veronica Mars). He’s the guy left holding her purse in paparazzi photos and accidentally omitted from acceptance award speeches. But his world is rocked when she dumps him and Peter finds himself alone. After an unsuccessful bout of womanizing and an on-the-job nervous breakdown, he sees that not having Sarah may just ruin his life.

To clear his head, Peter takes an impulsive trip to Oahu, where he is confronted by his worst nightmare: his ex and her tragically hip new British-rocker boyfriend, Aldous (Russell Brand), are sharing his hotel. But as he torments himself with the reality of Sarah’s new life, he finds relief in a flirtation with Rachel (Mila Kunis), a beautiful resort employee whose laid-back approach tempts him to rejoin the world. He also finds relief in several hundred embarrassing, fruity cocktails.

For anyone who has ever had their heart ripped out and cut into a billion pieces comes a hilarious, heartfelt look at relationships—featuring Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader and Jack McBrayer. Part romantic comedy, part disaster film, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is the world’s first romantic disaster comedy.

So to help promote the film, Universal brought four of the stars to Hawaii and I got to interview all of them. Over the next week I’ll be posting eachone and up first is Bill Hader.

While some of you might only know Bill from his excellent work on “Saturday Night Live,” he’s also one of the cops from last summer’s huge hit “Superbad.” Recently, Bill’s been keeping busy with the Apatow crew and in “Sarah Marshall” he plays Jason Segal’s best friend.

During our interview we talked about making “Sarah Marshall” as well as what he has coming up and - of course - we talked about SNL. As a big fan of Bill’s, it was very cool to talk with him on the beach in Hawaii.

And one last thing before the interview…first, here's a link to the movie clips from "Sarah Marshall" and I want to say a big thank you to Universal for inviting Collider to the junket. I had a great time and it was a lot of fun. Now…here’s my video intro on the beach and the Bill Hader interview.
