Last week we brought you the news that Bone Tomahawk had swapped out some of its cast, adding Patrick Wilson, Richard Jenkins and Matthew Fox to the fold.  Now the Kurt Russell starring western (written and directed by novelist S. Craig Zahler) has made some significant additions to the cast.  Sean Young, Lili Simmons (True Detective), David Arquette, Sid HaigEvan Jonigkeit (Girls), Kathryn Morris (Cold Case) have joined the film.

The movie actually started shooting today outside Los Angeles and will be produced by Caliber Media's Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller.  In the film, four men attempt to rescue a group of captives from a band of cannibalistic troglodytes that live beyond the edge of civilization.  Hit the jump for more on the new Bone Tomahawk casting.

Per the press release, Simmons will play “Samantha O’Dwyer”, the de facto doctor of Bright Hope and the dedicated wife to Patrick Wilson’s “Arthur O’Dwyer.”  Arquette and Haig play a couple of filthy brigands whose actions set off a string of violent repercussions.  Morris will play the wife to Kurt Russell’s “Sheriff Hunt” and Jonigkeit will play a young deputy sheriff.

As I've said before, I've been looking forward to this film for a while.  I love westerns and can't wait to see Kurt Russell back in action.
