A teaser poster for The Bourne Legacy has gone online and it's a strong contender for Dumbest Tagline of 2012.  The tagline: "Prepare for the Unexpected".  Really, Poster?  "Prepare for the Unexpected."  How do you propose I go about doing that?  Plastic tarps and duct tape?  Buy up bottled water?  What do you want from me, teaser poster. Also, this poster looks so bland that it might be a promo poster rather than something Universal's actually going to put up in theaters.Hit the jump to prepare for an expected poster.  The film stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Oscar Isaac, Joan Allen, Albert Finney, and Edward Norton.  The Bourne Legacy opens August 3rd.  In a related story, we've update the first image from the movie with a hi-res version.  Click here to check it out the image. [Update: Universal has informed us that this is not the official one-sheet for the film and has asked us to take the poster down. We'll of course bring you the actual poster for the film once it's released.]removed imageHere’s the official synopsis for The Bourne Legacy:

The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy.  The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films.

For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.
