Netflix has released the new trailer and poster art for the upcoming thriller Brazen, which stars Alyssa Milano in the main role. Additional images were also released for the film adaptation of Nora Roberts' 1988 novel Brazen Virtue, which is set to debut on the streamer on January 13, 2022.

Directed by Monika Mitchell, Brazen tells the story of a mystery writer and crime expert named Grace, played by Milano, who comes back to her family home in the capital state of Washington D.C. because her sister calls for her. However, when her sister is murdered and her secret life as a webcam girl comes to light, Grace pays no mind to the reasonable advice of detective Ed, played by Sam Page, and decides to get involved in the case and investigate for herself.

In the trailer, we can note how Grace’s interest in true crime as a writer and the plot of her novels serves as a disturbing parallel to what happens to her sister. “This is personal,” Grace says in voiceover before she is shown going to great lengths to find her sister’s killer. The plot also thickens as more bodies start showing up, which suggests the existence of a serial killer in the area. On the other hand, the poster and images that have been released also highlight that this is not only a mystery but also a romance — as Grace and Ed grow closer in the pursuit of answers.
