Captain Marvel herself is headed to Netflix for a new movie. Academy Award-winner Brie Larson and Lynette Howell Taylor’s 51 Entertainment just made a deal with the streaming content giant that includes Larson's next starring role in the feature film Lady Business, as well as the announcement of worldwide rights to her feature film directorial debut, Unicorn Store.

The deal, shepherded by Endeavor Content, came about after the duo wrapped production on Unicorn Store. They acquired the rights to develop Lady Business, based on the August 2017 Fast Company article by John Paul Titlow, which related the true story of two young female entrepreneurs, Penelope Gazin and Kate Dwyer. It seems they had to invent a third male company founder in order to be taken seriously in the business world, which is a story that's stranger than fiction but ripe for adaptation. And while Larson's already set to star in it, she's also eyeing the director's chair once again.

Howell Taylor will produce the film with 51 Entertainment's Samantha Housman and Larson, herself. Currently, there is no indication as to which part Larson would play or who would star as her partner on the big screen.

Meanwhile, Larson's directorial debut Unicorn Store, which stars stars Larson, Joan Cusack, Bradley Whitford, Mamoudou Athie, Hamish Linklater, and Samuel L. Jackson, will premiere on Netflix on April 5, 2019. The dramedy is based on a script penned by Samantha McIntyre and centers on a woman who moves back in with her parents before receiving an invitation to a store that will test her ideas of what it really means to grow up. Larson initially auditioned for Unicorn Store years ago and didn’t get the part, only to get a chance to direct the film herself when circumstances would have prevented it from getting made. Here's what she had to say about that experience:

It’s not an easy time in the world right now so I hope that, in the old tradition of films being a form of escapism and a way to dream, this film can do that.

Larson will next be seen in the title role of Captain Marvel, the first female-led film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in theaters March 8, 2019.
