If you have a working internet connection and one to two functioning eyeballs, you may have noticed Brie Larson's name has been everywhere thanks to the impending debut of Captain Marvel. While that particular film aims to take the MCU higher, further, and faster, Larson herself is already eyeing her next move. TVLine reports the Oscar-winner will both executive-produce and star in an original series for Apple. The show—which has been given a straight-to-series order—is based on former spy Amaryllis Fox's upcoming memoir, Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA.

Exact plot details are scarce, but reports describe it as “provocative and contemporary look at a young woman’s journey in the CIA, told through the prism of her closest relationships.”

Long gone are the days when a movie star making the leap to TV could be seen as a demotion—shoutout to the McConaissance—but you'd be forgiven for wondering why Larson is headed to Apple, of all destinations. But the streaming service has been quietly putting together a straight-up A-list slate recently. Just a few examples: Larson's fellow MCU star Chris Evans is starring in and executive-producing Defending Jacob, a limited-run legal drama from showrunner Mark Bomback. DCEU hero Jason Momoa is also getting in on the action, starring in future-set series See from Steven Knight alongside Alfre Woodard and Yadira Guevara-Prip. There's a behind-the-scenes talk show drama starring Jennifer Anniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carrell. I could do this all day. Damien Chazzelle has a series in the works over there. What the hell.

So yeah, it's a pretty cool move for Larson in the middle of the hype for Captain Marvel, which is already looking at $350 million+ at the box office. Gotta' stay busy in-between punching Thanos in the dick for the good of all humanity.
