The next installment of the hit Bring It On movie franchise, Bring It On: Cheer Or Die, has wrapped production in Winnipeg, Canada. This seventh installment in the iconic series about competitive cheerleading is set to premiere on the SYFY channel in Fall 2022.

The new film will follow a cheer squad as they practice their routines overnight in an abandoned school during Halloween weekend where one-by-one, the teens fall victim to a deranged assailant. The film is set to star Missi Pyle (Y: The Last Man), Kerri Medders (SEAL Team), and Tiera Skovbye (Riverdale).

Bring It On: Cheer Or Die is directed by Karen Lam (Van Helsing) and is written by Rebekah McKendry (All the Creatures Were Stirring) and Dana Schwartz (the upcoming She-Hulk series) from a story by Alyson Fouse (Bring It On: Fight to the Finish). The film is executive produced by Beacon Pictures partners Armyan Bernstein and Charlie Lyons, produced by Griff Furst (You Might be the Killer), and co-produced by Tony Gonzalez and C. Eve Stewart (Tales from the Hood 3). Gonzalez is also returning to the franchise as the choreographer.

About the new film, Glenn Ross, general manager and executive vice president of Universal 1440 Entertainment, had this to say:

Featuring a fresh take on the franchise’s historically comedic films, this next chapter showcases a multi-talented diverse cast and will entertain long-time Bring It On movie fans as well as open the doors to the legion of fans who enjoy thrillers.”

No official release date has been announced for the film but it is expected to be released in Fall 2022 after premiering on SYFY.
