Today, we’re pleased to debut an exclusive Burnt featurette. Directed by John Wells (August: Osage County), and scripted by Steven Knight (Locke) and Michael Kalesniko (Iron Sky), the film stars Bradley Cooper as Adam Jones, a temperamental, entitled two-star Michelin chef whose rockstar behavior cost him everything. Now, as he rallies to get it all back — and land that elusive third Michelin star in the process — Jones has to redeem himself and earn back the trust of the people he well, burnt, in the past.

This featurette shows the realism Wells pursued in making the film all the way down to building a working kitchen. And as real Michelin chef Marcus Wareing, who worked as a consultant on the film, attests in the featurette, the repeated takes that exhausting the actors helped add to the picture’s realism.

Check out the Burnt featurette below. The film also stars Sienna Miller, Emma Thompson, Daniel Brühl, Jamie Dornan, Omar SyMatthew RhysAlicia Vikander, Uma Thurman, and Lily James. Burnt is now playing in theaters everywhere.

Here’s the official synopsis for Burnt:

Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.
