The Weinstein Company has released a new trailer for director John Wells’ (August: Osage County) upcoming drama Burnt. Scripted by Steven Knight (Locke) and Michael Kalesniko (Iron Sky), the film stars Bradley Cooper as Adam Jones, a temperamental, entitled two-star Michelin chef whose rockstar behavior cost him everything. Now, as he rallies to get it all back -- and land that elusive third Michelin star in the process -- Jones has to redeem himself and earn back the trust of the people he well, burnt, in the past.

Burnt could easily end up your run of the mill character drama, but there's something about the trailers we've seen so far that gives me hop it could fly a little higher. Cooper has delivered great performances with standout consistency the last few years, and his Hangover years showed he's got the lovable asshole character in the bag. The supporting cast is well worth getting excited over as well, with some of the best up-and-coming international actors backing up the action.

Check out the new Burnt trailer below. The film opens October 2nd, and also stars Sienna Miller, Emma Thompson, Daniel Brühl, Jamie Dornan, Omar SyMatthew RhysAlicia Vikander, Uma Thurman, and Lily James. Click here for all of our Burnt coverage.

Here’s the official synopsis for Burnt:

Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.
