A new international trailer for director John Wells’ drama Burnt has landed online. The movie follows the eponymous chef (Bradley Cooper) as he sets out to make a triumphant comeback as he assembles a crew to create the best restaurant ever—in Paris, no less. This seems like a fairly standard performance-driven dramatic vehicle on paper, but there's something about the Steven Knight-scripted picture that feels like it could be something a bit more substantial. It's a little odd that The Weinstein Company opted not to roll this one out during the festival circuit, though Wells was rushed to do just that on August: Osage County and got a little burnt (zing!) so it's possible he simply wanted to be more careful this time around. Whatever the case, I remain sufficiently intrigued for this chef-centric drama, especially considering the vast amount of talent on display in the ensemble cast.

Check out the new Burnt trailer below. The film opens October 2nd, and also stars Sienna Miller, Emma Thompson, Daniel Brühl, Jamie Dornan, Alicia Vikander, Uma Thurman, and Lily James. Click here for all of our Burnt coverage.

Here’s the official synopsis for Burnt:

Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.
