Each new Marvel Studios film has a certain flavor that it tries to capture in order to keep the superhero movies from feeling same-y. Avengers: Age of Ultron had a strange sort of tone, while Ant-Man veered much more into comedic heist territory. So now fans are no doubt curious to see what kind of tone Captain America: Civil War will hit, especially because its cast features just about every Marvel Studios actor under the sun (or, more specifically, under contract).

Actress Elizabeth Olsen is currently at the Toronto International Film Festival for the world premiere of the Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light—in which she stars opposite fellow Marvel stageplayer Tom Hiddleston—so when Steve sat down to talk with her about that film, he also took the opportunity to probe about Civil War. While Olsen is obviously barred from saying anything too revealing, she did confirm how long she was on set and discussed how Civil War feels in relation to Age of Ultron:

-

“I was only there for five weeks of it, but we were all super stoked about it… Even though the Ultron robots are so intensely human because of its mind, we’re actually dealing with humans this time through and through. There’s nothing scarier than something that’s like you being dangerous, so I think it’s darker and it’s fun. It’s really fun—it was so hard to shoot, but I think it’s gonna be a really interesting film.”

And Marvel fans aren’t the only ones anxiously awaiting those stingers at the end of every film—Olson admitted she’s incredibly curious to see the end of Civil War:

“I’m excited to see how they’re gonna end it. I wanna see what the ending shots look like because I wanna know what the ellipses is at the end of the film (laughs).”

With Scarlet Witch now an official Avenger (at least pre-Civil War, that is), there’s an expectation that she’ll have a role in Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 and Part 2. Steve asked the actress if she’ll be returning for the two-part Phase Three capper, and she admitted she would also like to know the answer to that question:

“Those are things I would like to know too (laughs). Those are things I have a group of people with me right now that would like to know too.”

As directors Joe and Anthony Russo get deeper into post-production on Civil War, they'll likely start more closely developing Infinity War, so we could see some casting announcements about Part 1 early next year. Look for Steve’s full interview with Olson on Collider soon, and click here to catch up on our bevy of coverage from TIFF 2015. Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.
