With so many superhero movies on the horizon, it can be difficult to keep up with all the superhero news that comes down the line.  Thankfully, that's where "This Week in Superhero News" comes in, where I provide a recap of the major stories you need to know to keep up with all the superhero adaptations on the way.

This past week, we had new info on Captain America: Civil War, Man of Steel 2, The Crow reboot, and more.  Find out more below.

The D23 Civil War footage has been the topic of discussion this week from Marvel’s next film and we know that the heroes will be pinned against each other over the topic of some sort of super hero regulation, but the question up in the air is how far the disagreements will go. Anthony Mackie, who will be on one side of the conflict as Falcon, shed some light on how severe this debacle will be, calling the fights in the film “more of a family dispute” and “a sibling rivalry”.

The reboot of the film The Crow had been trying to get off the ground for some time and after plenty of setbacks, the financial troubles of Relativity seemed to had put the final nail in the coffin of the project, but according to The Crow comic book creator James O’Barr, the reboot will still happen. During a panel, O’Barr said that The Crow was “still very much a live property” adding that if not at Relativity at another studio, “there were like a dozen other studios that called about getting The Crow property. It definitely will happen.”

‘Suicide Squad’ Members Get Matching Tattoos

Suicide Squad director David Ayer has been pretty open in sharing some glimpses of production from the film through social media, and the latest one came in the form of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn trying her hand a tattooing at “Harley’s Tattoo Parlour”. After a couple of other pictures dropped, it turned out that some of the cast members were actually giving each other matching tattoos of the word “skwad”. If this kind of real-life chemistry is any indication of what we will see in the film, then it appears we’re in for something special with Suicide Squad.

‘Batman v Superman’: General Zod to Return with Flipper Hands?

We all saw a glimpse of General Zod in the Batman v Superman trailer teasing the possible return of the villain but the truth is that if he would have a role in the film was still a mystery, now thanks to Michael Shannon we have confirmation of the villains appearance, and that of his flipper hands (yes, flipper hands). All this came from Shannon telling a story about how he got trapped inside of a porta-potty because his flipper hands made opening the door quite a challenge. Jokes aside, the story certainly opens up the discussion of exactly what we will see from General Zod in Batman v Superman.

Most of us know that the director of this year’s hit movie Mad Max: Fury Road, George Miller, was at one point set to direct a Justice League movie that never happened, but according to a new rumor Miller will still get his shot at a DC property with Man of Steel 2. A direct sequel to Man of Steel is noticeably missing from the slate of upcoming DC film, but we have to assume that it will happen sooner or later, and when it does if the rumors are true we will see Miller at the helm.
