Joss Whedon Directed One of the Post-Credits Scenes in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER

     March 11, 2014

If you’re a Marvel movie fan, you know not to leave your seat when the credits start to roll on one of their films.  After all, the studio has consistently offered awesome character moments during both the midpoint of credits sequences and then at the very end.  While the studio initially stuck to one post-credits sequence, they’ve started including two scenes after each film with The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World, and now Captain America: The Winter Solider.

While I won’t spoil what happens in the two scenes during the credits, I don’t think anyone is going to be surprised to learn one of them has to do with Avengers: Age of Ultron.  After all, the sequel to The Avengers arrives next year and Joss Whedon is directing the project right now.  So it kind of makes sense that Whedon directed one of the post-movie scenes.  More after the jump.

As you can see Marvel’s Head of Production, Kevin Feige, tell me below, Whedon directed one of the scenes after The Winter Soldier and Joe and Anthony Russo, the Captain America: The Winter Solider directors, helmed the other one.  Once you see the scenes, it’s beyond obvious who directed which one.

While I won’t spoil what you see in the Whedon helmed scene, I will say it has only made me more excited for Age of Ultron.  I can’t wait for May 1, 2015.  Look for more of my interview with Kevin Feige tomorrow.
