New posters have been released for Cars 2 and Super.  The poster for Cars 2 is beyond bland, but at least it doesn't have a character falling into a vat of shit, so I guess I should be grateful for that.  As for the Super posters, I like the flyer-design and how they reference certain crimes (ranging from line-butting to pedophilia) that "heroes" Crimson Bolt (Rainn Wilson) and his sidekick Boltie (Ellen Page) take on.Hit the jump to check out the posters.  Cars 2 opens in 3D on June 24th.  Super opens April 1st.Disney has sent us the hi-res version of the poster:cars-2-movie-poster-cast-hi-res-01Here's the official synopsis for Cars 2:

Star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in "Cars 2" when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world's fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater's action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colorful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.

Here's the official synopsis for Super:

In the outlandish dark comedy SUPER, James Gunn has created what is perhaps the definitive take on self-reflexive superheroes. When sad-sack loser Frank (Rainn Wilson) sees his ex-addict wife (Liv Tyler) willingly snatched by a seductive drug dealer (Kevin Bacon), he finds himself bereft and wholly unable to cope. But, inspired shortly after by fictional man-made superheroes of lore, he decides to fight back under the guise of a DIY crimefighter, the Crimson Bolt. With a hand-made suit, a wrench, and a crazed sidekick named Boltie (Ellen Page), the Crimson Bolt beats his way through the mean streets of crime in hopes of saving his wife.
