I can almost hear the eagleâs call, if it werenât for that snake in its mouth. I particularly enjoy the taglines âFunniest Movie Youâll Ever Readâ and âFrom the Gringos Who Brought You âAnchorman.ââ The film was directed by Matt Piedmont (Funny or Die) from a screenplay by Andrew Steele (Saturday Night Live). Here are the posters (both via IMPAwards):Check out the synopsis for Casa de mi Padre below:
âArmando Alvarez (Will Ferrell) has lived and worked on his fatherâs ranch in Mexico his entire life. As the ranch encounters financial difficulties, Armandoâs younger brother Raul (Diego Luna) shows up with his new fiancee, Sonia (Genesis Rodriguez). It seems that Raulâs success as an international businessman means the ranchâs troubles are over as he pledges to settle all debts his father has incurred. But when Armando falls for Sonia, and Raulâs business dealings turn out to be less than legit, all hell breaks loose as they find themselves in a war with Mexicoâs most feared drug lord, the mighty Onza (Gael Garcia Bernal).â
Casa De Mi Padre debuts in theaters on March 16th.
