Chadwick Boseman hosted a pretty successful run of Saturday Night Live, with most of his sketches landing (and not just because they were all about Black Panther). Of course, the most Black Panther-focused skit was also the best one, as the show brought back Black Jeopardy so that Boseman's Wakandan King T'Challa could participate.
Jeopardy (and Black Jeopardy) have always led to great SNL sketches, but what makes this one so good is how sweet and noble T'Challa is with his answers. The always on-point Kenan Thompson (who plays host Darnell Hayes) gives the absolute best reactions to T'Challa's thoughtful answers, even at one point saying, "that is so nice. Wrong, but nice!"
The skit gets better and better as it goes along, as T'Challa learns from the responses of his fellow contestants Shanice (Leslie Jones), Rashad (Chris Redd). Ultimately, his response about what white lady Karen should do with the potato salad she's bringing to his party is a pitch-perfect combo of T'Challa's intelligence, graciousness, and new-found understanding of the right black American response (Killmonger would 100% approve).
Check out the skit below; Boseman can be seen again soon as the Black Panther, a.k.a. T'Challa in Avengers: Infinity War, which opens in theaters on April 27th.
Bonus: A sketch on whether or not it's ok for white people to do the Wakanda Forever sign (it starts off great and then peters out, but some of those quotes are golden):
