Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) directed the adaptation of the Tom Rob Smith novel, Child 44. Vincent Cassel, Paddy Considine, Jason Clarke, Josef Altin, Sam Spruell, Ned Dennehy, Dev Patel, and Nikolaj Lie Kaas co-star. Here’s the official synopsis:
Based on the first novel in author Tom Rob Smith’s best-selling trilogy, CHILD 44 tells the story of a man fighting to reclaim his humanity from a system that requires him to sacrifice it in order to survive.
Michael Peña, Djimon Hounsou, Dougray Scott, Kathleen Robertson, Peter Andersson, Olivia Dudley, John Patrick Amedori, Cas Anvar, and Alex Sparrow star in The Vatican Tapes. The story centers on a series of events that unfold after a tape gets leaked from the Vatican displaying an exorcism that goes wrong. This is Neveldine’s first solo feature after teaming with Brian Taylor to direct the Crank movies, Gamer, and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Here is Neveldine’s announcement tweet:
