The sign of a truly great actor is the ability to take any text, no matter how banal and turn it into a good performance. As they say, there are no small roles only small actors. With a recent bit of charming publicity Chris Hemsworth may have made a case for himself as a truly great actor. Hemsworth visted BBC Radio 1, and somebody had the genius idea to put his resounding voice to good work by trying to make sense of Rihanna’s hit single “Work”.
The song has been tearing up the charts for the past few weeks and has gotten more thana little attention for its indecypherable lyrics, and oddly enough Hemsworth’s measured diction only makes them more baffling. Hemsworth has quite the busy year ahead of him with The Huntsman’s Winter War arriving in theaters on April 21st and Paul Feig‘s Ghostbusters reboot landing on July 15th. In between, he’ll kick off production on Thor: Ragnarok, which is set to begin filming in Australia this June. For now, watch him make good work of “Work” in the video below.
And if you’re curious for comparison (or just can’t get the song out of your head now), here’s the music video for Rihanna’s single.
