Warner Bros. Sets Up CLASH OF THE TITANS 3

     November 2, 2011

Although Clash of the Titans 2: Wrath of the Titans won’t hit theaters until March 30th of next year, Warner Bros. has already given the go-ahead on a draft for the third installment. Screenwriters Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson have been tapped to begin work on Clash of the Titans 3. The studio must be happy with the work they’ve put forward so far, as both Mazeau and Johnson were co-writers on the Clash sequel. While Wrath of the Titans’s plot revolves around Perseus’s (Sam Worthington) rescue of Zeus (Liam Neeson) from Ares (Edgar Ramirez) and Hades (Ralph Fiennes), insiders report that a character from the sequel may play an important role in the third film. Hit the jump to read more.

Heat Vision reports that the character Agenor, played by Toby Kebbell (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) in the sequel, might factor into the story of Perseus’s adventures in the third film. I’m not up on my Greek mythology so if anyone out there knows where this might be headed, feel free to comment. Although, Wikipedia seems to suggest it might have something to do with Zeus becoming smitten by Agenor’s daughter. Oh, those mythological Greeks!

The Wrath of the Titans production team of Basil Iwanyk (The Town) and Polly Johnsen (Cop Out) would likely stay intact for the third film, along with director Jonathan Liebsman (Battle Los Angeles), though nothing has been inked yet. Wrath of the Titans also stars Rosamund Pike (The Libertine) as Andromeda, Bill Nighy (Love Actually) as Hephaestus and Danny Huston (Children of Men) as Poseidon.  You can check out some set photos here and get up to date on all of our Wrath of the Titans news here. Until then, feel free to suggest titles for the third movie.
