Sony Pictures has released the first clip from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.  In the upcoming sequel, Swallow Falls is under attack by mutant foods known as “foodimals”, so Flint (Bill Hader), Sam (Anna Faris), Brent (Andy Samberg), Manny (Benjamin Bratt), Earl (Terry Crews), and Steve (Neil Patrick Harris), must contain the creatures before they overrun the planet.  The clip is part of the footage we saw at Comic-Con, and it shows that the movie isn't just the food puns we've seen in the trailers.  The same zany humor is back in full force, and this looks like it will be an incredibly fun ride.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 picks up where Sony Pictures Animation’s mouth-watering comedy left off. Inventor Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world when he destroyed his most infamous invention — a machine that turned water into food causing cheeseburger rain and spaghetti tornadoes. But Flint soon learns that his invention survived and is now creating food-animals – “foodimals!”  Flint and his friends embark on a dangerously delicious mission to battle hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, hippotatomuses, cheespiders and other foodimals to save the world – again!
