The first trailer for the actioner Collide has landed online, though it still may be some time before domestic audiences get to see the film. Previously titled Autobahn (Collide is a much better title, for obvious reasons), the movie is directed by Eran Creevy and follows an American tourist (Nicholas Hoult) who winds up in trouble after working with some Turkish thugs. Subsequently, he and his girlfriend are on the run in the streets of Munich.

Judging by this trailer, the film is certainly of the “non-stop actioner” variety. Hoult and Jones are excellent performers, and the prospect of seeing Ben Kingsley as a Turkish gangster is mighty enticing, but it’s tough to get a solid read on the film’s quality based on this explosion-heavy international trailer.

Also starring Anthony Hopkins, this is one of the films entangled in the Relativity bankruptcy so its distribution future was murky for a while. However, Open Road has now picked the film up for release on April 1, 2016, so domestic audiences will get to see it after all. Check out the trailer below via Vlicious.

Here's the official synopsis for Collide:

In COLLIDE a young American couple Casey (Hoult) and Juliette (Jones) are plunged into an adrenaline- pumping game of cat and mouse across Germany when they find themselves caught between two ruthless feuding criminals (Hopkins and Kingsley).

The film will also feature a soundtrack on Republic Records featuring an upcoming single from Tiësto and the Chainsmokers.
