Love them or hate them, there’s no denying the Transformers movies have been massive blockbuster successes with the last film, Transformers: Age of Extinction making over $1.1 billion dollars at the box office. Now, it is official, the director behind all the previous Transformers movies is coming back to direct the 5th installment of the franchise. Michael Bay has confirmed he is indeed directing the next Transformers film, and also says this will be his final one.

This past weekend a brand new trailer for the upcoming animated film Zootopia hit the web. From the largest elephant to the smallest shrew, the city of Zootopia is a mammal metropolis where various animals live and thrive. When Judy Hopps becomes the first rabbit to join the police force, she quickly learns how tough it is to enforce the law. Determined to prove herself, Judy jumps at the opportunity to solve a mysterious case. Unfortunately, that means working with Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman), a wily fox who makes her job even harder.

As most of you know, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to finally hit theatres on March 25th. However, there might be some unexpected competition that day. According a report circulating online, Netflix may be looking at releasing Daredevil Season 2 on that exact same day.

OPENING THIS WEEK (brought to you by AMC Theatres)

One film goes from limited release to wide release, and another brand new film will hit theatres this week. Today, we’re talking about the new film The Forest. When her twin sister disappears in Japan, a young American named Sara (played by Game Of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer) becomes determined to find out what happened to her. Sara's investigation leads her to the legendary Aokigahara Forest, located at the base of Mount Fuji. Accompanied by expatriate Aiden, she enters the mysterious wilderness after being warned to "stay on the path." Her investigation plunges her into a dark world where the angry and tormented souls of the dead prey on those who dare to explore the forest.

MAIL BAG

Thomas Angelo writes: Hello MovieTalk crew, love the show. My question is after all the records Star Wars broke, do you think every big blockbuster will be unfairly compared to Star Wars numbers? Thanks.

Sneha P writes: My question is whether Colin Firth could get nominated for best supporting actor for Kingsman. I kind of know that he won't get a nomination but I think he should. He was so believable as a bad ass who killed an entire church to the song "Free Bird"!

Matt Smith writes: So quick question, what's the deal with the Tom Hardy Splinter Cell movie? I thought it was a green light then I heard nothing more. Do you guys know any information and if the new Assassin's Creed movie is good, do you think that will help this film get in gear? Thanks and keep up the great work from your biggest fan!

Gilbert Rodriguez writes: Hey Collider crew, have you guys heard any news about another Rush Hour film and if so do you think it will make money at the box office?
