Get ready to break out your 20 sided dice because a new Dungeons & Dragons movie is on the way. Back in 2013 Warner Bros announced that they were going to develop a new D&D movie, but it was quickly shot down by Hasbro, the company owning the rights to the popular game. However, the two sides have now reached an agreement and will produce a new film. Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. said the following:

“We are so excited about bringing the world of Dungeons & Dragons to life on the big screen. This is far and away the most well-known brand in fantasy, which is the genre that drives the most passionate film followings. D&D has endless creative possibilities, giving our filmmakers immense opportunities to delight and thrill both fans and moviegoers new to the property.”

I know what you’re all thinking. “ok great, they’re giving us a dungeons and dragon movie…. but what we REALLY want is a movie about Pez dispensers!” Well good news for all 7 of you out there! The Three Stooges and Brother In Law writer Cameron Fay has been hired to write and develop a PEZ movie. Envision Media Arts CEO and founder Lee Nelson said. “With Cameron Fay we’ve created a world unique to Pez and a story that will touch the hearts of many.”

BUY OR SELL

One of the most famous names in sports right now, Rowdy Ronda Rousey, has recently appeared in films like Fast 7, Expendables 3 and Entourage… but her next film will be a leading role as Paramount Pictures has just signed Rousey to star in her own bio pic. The movie will be based on Rousey’s book “My Fight/Your Fight” and will be produced by Pacific Rim producer Mary Parent and will be written by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes screenwriter Mark Bomback.

Total Film magazine is reporting that director Ridley Scott will begin production on Prometheus 2 in January. The original 2012 Prometheus film had a respectable 73% critic rating and 69% audience rating while pulling in nearly $400 million dollars at the worldwide box office making it the most successful film in the Aliens franchise. Scott however, is being very clear that we will not see the classic Xenomorphs in this story. Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are expected to return for the sequel.

Variety is reporting that Captain America: The Winter Soldier actor Frank Grillo is in talks to return to The Purge franchise. Grillo starred in The Purge: Anarchy last year which made over $110 million dollars on a $9 million dollar budget. Grillo will also be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Captain America: Civil War next year.

A brand new extended trailer for Fantastic Four has hit the web which also features an appearance by Deadpool at the end announcing his trailer will be playing in front of Fantastic Four when it hits theatres this week.

OPENING THIS WEEK (Brought to you by AMC Theatres)

First up is the film we just talked about, Fantastic Four. An origin story said to be inspired largely by the “Ultimate Fantastic Four” comics, Fantastic Four offers a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team. The story centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

As Robyn learns what really happened between Simon and Gordo, she begins to question how well she knows her spouse.

MAIL BAG

Aidan Norris writes: What's up Collider, on a previous mailbag, John was talking about Mike Myers and how we need him back in the comedy genre. I then took to his IMDB page and saw that a Austin Powers 4 is in the works. I was wondering if you could tell me wither this is a complete rumor or if it really is in development. Thanks!
