As many of you know Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smocking Barrels director Guy Ritchie has been hard at work on his upcoming King Arthur movie scheduled to be released on July 22nd. The film stars Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law and Djimon Honsou. However, it has just been announced that the film has been pushed back all the way to February 2017. The film was scheduled to open against Ice Age: Collision Course and Star Trek Beyond but will now go head-to-head with Maze Runner: The Death Cure and Bad Boys III.
The marketing machine for the upcoming Michael Fassbender film Assassin’s Creed is starting to get into gear. Scheduled to open in theatres exactly 1 year from today, the studio has put out this first official banner for the film and launched the Abstergo website and the official social accounts also revealed an image of Abstergo CEO Alan Rikkin’s business card featuring a number that fans can call. When you call the number there is a message that states “Hello, you’ve reached the voicemail of Alan Rikkin,” the message states. “I’ll be out of the office on business until March 25 with limited availability.”
The Academy’s Visual Effects Branch Executive Committee has narrowed down the contender list for Best Visual Effects at the upcoming Academy Awards. earlier this month the initial list of 20 potential contenders was announced, and now the executive committee has revealed the short list of 10. The 10 films still in the running for the best VFX Oscar are:
- Ant-Man
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Ex Machina
- Jurassic World
- Mad Max: Fury Road
- The Martian
- The Revenant
- Star Wars: The Force Awakens
- Tomorrowland
- The Walk
The final 5 nominees will be announced on January 14th.

Justin Cole writes: Hey guys, love the show! I was wondering, do you think Ultron would have worked better as a villain in an Iron Man movie instead of an Avengers movie. Whilst I loved the film, it was a step down from the first Avengers and I feel in part it was because of the villain. I know in the comics Ant-Man created him but I feel like he was an Iron Man villain. Your thoughts? Thanks!

George Yousif writes: With the Wonder Woman solo film currently being filmed and with three months left for Batman v Superman to be released in theaters, do you think it would have been best if Warner Brothers should have waited after the release of Batman v Superman movie then start filming the Wonder Woman solo movie just to see what the reception of the audiences and fans will be for Gal Gadot's performance as Wonder Woman first? As you know Warner Brothers are taking a huge risk for casting an inexperienced actress for the most popular superheroine. Also the fact that we still have to see some dialogue from Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the BvS trailers is very concerning.

Especially with a now one of a kind box office number that Star Wars: The Force Awakens has put up , how was the first report on Sunday morning that Star Wars did $238 million dollars accurate ? How does this number get reported so early when you literally have 24 more hours of potential ticket sales across the north american box office . Keep up the great work.
