Good news for all you metalheads attending this year's San Diego Comic-Con! Metallica will be performing a private concert at a secret location in San Diego. All four members of the legendary band - James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo - will join star Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) and writer-director Nimród Antal (Predators) in Hall H for a Metallica Through the Never panel. Attendees will have a chance to win tickets and find the secret location to the private concert performance. Everyone in the hall will then be treated to the world premiere of the film's trailer and poster. The event will open up advance ticket sales for the movie's September 27th IMAX 3D release. Metallica Through the Never will then expand to other theaters starting October 4th.

LOS ANGELES - July 8, 2013 - Picturehouse announced today the iconic band, Metallica, will appear for the first time ever at Comic-Con in San Diego with special live performance and Hall H Panel on Friday, July 19 in support of the groundbreaking 3D feature film, Metallica Through The Never. The band will perform an intimate private concert at a secret location in San Diego. The film's6:30 p.m. Hall H panel includes all four members of Metallica: James Hetfield (vocals, guitar), Lars Ulrich (drums), Kirk Hammett (guitar, background vocals) Robert Trujillo (bass, background vocals); along with actor Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), director/writer Nimród Antal (Predators, Kontroll) and producer Charlotte Huggins (Journey to the Center of the Earth). The Hall H presentation will world premiere the Metallica Through the Never theatrical trailer and poster, show exclusive preview footage and discuss the making of the film. Only during the Hall H panel will Comic-con conventioneers in attendance have an opportunity to win tickets and learn the location where Metallica will play later that same evening.
