Conventions are more popular than ever.  San Diego Comic-Con is an epic display of nerdy humanity, DragonCon has long been a home for fans of sci-fi and fantasy, and Anthrocon is the place for those with a furry fascination.  Enter CommuniCon, or more precisely, CommuniCon 2: Re-Introduction to Fanaticism, a fan-organized convention that celebrates all things related to the NBC comedy, Community.  Although it has no ties to NBC, Sony or any of the show's affiliates, it does serve as a place for fans to come together and share in their love of all things meta.  Gearing up for the convention is organizer Gillian Morshedi, who is raising funds to finance the event itself along with a documentary production that will make the convention accessible to fans all over the world.  Hit the jump to see how you can contribute.

Take a look at CommuniCon 2's KickStarter page to check out the levels of donations and the related swag you'll get in return.  Here's more on the project itself:

This project is for the follow up: CommuniCon 2, which will be held in Los Angeles on October 19-20, 2013 at Embassy Suites Glendale.

Funds raised will go toward paying for the venue for two days, the production of the film documenting the event, the odds and ends that go into putting on the event (like printing and copying costs for badges, etc), and the creation and shipping of the Kickstarter rewards. The fundraising goal will cover the bare minimum. Any additional funds will go towards making the event and the documentary as great as they can be.

PLEASE NOTE: NONE OF THE REWARD LEVELS INCLUDES AIRFARE, ACCOMMODATIONS, OR ANYTHING ELSE NOT SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED IN THE REWARD LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS.
