Something big went down in Long Beach last weekend. The very first ComplexCon – Complex's ambitious, expertly curated convention and music fest – brought together legendary artist Takashi Murakami, award-winning music producer Skrillex and ComplexCon's Cultural Director/Executive Chair Pharrell Williams to create the ground-breaking cultural experience of the year. Bringing together creators, curators and fans from all over the country, the first annual ComplexCon got up close and personal with cutting edge brands, food and tastemakers – and rubbed elbows with celebrity guests like Broad City's Ilana Glazer and musical maverick Kid Cudi.
Among the installations was an immersive VR experience from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, an exclusive gaming experience that brought participants into the Call of Duty world.
Even more exciting were the incredible interactive art exhibits from masters like James Jean and Patrick Martinez, and a host of brands including BAIT and (Comic-Con alum!) DKE toys.
On top of all of that, the weekend saw the return of the legendary Kid Cudi, whose passionate and inspiring performance brought out Pharrell (along with Travis Scott and Skrillex) for a historic night.
Didn't make it out last weekend? We've got you a look at the first annual event. Sorry about that FOMO.
