We have a few quick casting stories for you today.  First up, THR reports that Marion Cotillard has replaced Natalie Portman to a new adaptation of William Shakespeare's  Macbeth from director Justin Kurzel (Snowtown).  Cotillard will play Lady Macbeth opposite Michael Fassbender.  As we previously reported, the screenplay by Todd Louiso and Jacob Koskoff will take place in the 11th century, and will "be a visceral approach to the story including significant battle scenes."  No insult to Portman, who I'm sure would have made an interesting Lady Macbeth, but I have an easier time seeing Cotillard in the role.  She just seems to have an easier time giving off a more sinister vibe, which is key for the role (or at least how it's usually depicted).

Hit the jump for casting news on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon – The Green Destiny and Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of Cinderella.

Several months ago, we reported that fight choreographer Yuen Wo Ping (The Matrix) would helm the sequel, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon – The Green DestinyDonnie Yen (Ip Man) is set to star opposite Michelle Yeoh, and it looks like Yeoh won't be the only one who's coming back.  According to EW, Ziyi Zhang is in talks to reprise her role as warrior apprentice Jen Yu.  A source says, "Zhang’s part would be shot as flashbacks to explain what happened to her character."  Filming is set to begin in March 2014.

Finally, Hayley Atwell has tweeted that she's joined Cinderella.  The new adaptation stars Lily James as the eponymous princess, Richard Madden at the prince, Cate Blanchett at the wicked stepmother, and Helena Bonham Carter as the fairy godmother.  There are currently no details on Atwell's role.  She'll next be seen reprising her role as Agent Carter in the short film, Agent Carter, which is on the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD for Iron Man 3.
