Universal and Legendary Pictures have released a new Crimson Peak trailer.  Guillermo Del Toro's gothic horror romance takes place in a massive mansion that “breathes, bleeds … and remembers." The story centers on an aspiring author who is torn between the love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious suitor.

The film's first trailer did an excellent job teasing the tone and the unusual connection between the main players, but this new promo feels a bit too torn between showing what the house is capable of, what Mia Wasikowska's character is experiencing, and trying to convey what Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain's characters have brewing, too. The performances and the visuals look spot-on, but I still wouldn't mind getting a clearer hook to intensify the need to know a bit more. Universal just released an international trailer for the film as well and I find that that one does a better job delivering story details and establishing a powerful build.
