With Chaos Walking arriving in theaters this weekend, I recently got to speak with Daisy Ridley. During the very fun interview, Ridley talked about why she wanted to be part of Chaos Walking, what it was like working with the dog that played Manchee, why she loves 2nd unit director Simon Crane (and shares a story about him falling out of a plane), why filming the river action scene was not a big deal when compared to a sequence she had to do with Adam Driver in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and more. In addition, she shared what it was like being on The Great British Bake Off and teased her upcoming projects like Joachim Rønning’s Young Woman and the Sea, Jane Anderson’s Women in the Castle, and Neil Burger’s The Marsh King’s Daughter.

Based on the best-selling novel The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, Chaos Walking takes place on a planet where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by something called the Noise - which allows for each of them to see and hear what they’re each thinking. When a mysterious girl (Ridley) crash lands on the planet, Todd (Tom Holland) vows to protect her and they’re forced to journey away from everything he’s ever known. The film also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Nick Jonas, Cynthia Erivo, Demián Bichir, David Oyelowo, Ray McKinnon, Óscar Jaenada and Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter.

Check out what Daisy Ridley had to say in the player above and below is exactly what we talked about.
