Director Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) has signed on to helm Reincarnate (formerly Twelve Strangers), the next film under M. Night Shyamalan's "The Night Chronicles" production banner.  Written by Chris Sparling (Buried), the story (per Deadline), centers on "a jury haunted by supernatural forces while deciding the fate of an accused murderer."  Because it's not like jury duty sucks enough already.

Devil, which is the first film produced under Night Chronicles, comes out this weekend and it looks like it's going to get clobbered, not only because it has strong competition from Easy A and The Town, but because Shyamalan's name is box office poison.  If Devil tanks, then perhaps the studio will make sure to hide Shyamalan's connection to Reincarnate instead of proudly proclaiming whose mind it came from.
