The Man Without Fear is coming to Blu-ray, although it looks like he’s not bringing any special surprises with him. Marvel and Netflix announced today that Daredevil Season 1 is getting a home release beginning November 8th. Since it’s already available to watch on repeat on Netflix, one would assume there’d be some special features to go along with the season itself. Sadly, that doesn’t seem to be the case — at least for now.

A press release notes that the Blu-ray set only features the 13 episodes of Season 1 and nothing more. However, I still have hope that there will be special features knocking around somewhere. In the past, Marvel’s initial announcements of home releases haven’t always been upfront about everything that’s on the discs, choosing instead to reveal those tidbits at a later time.

It’d be a shocker if nothing else came with Daredevil season 1. If you look online, there’s a bevy of featurettes delving into some of the behind-the-scenes details of the series. I can also see the extras tackling deleted scenes, gag reels, major moments (like that extended take of the hallway fight sequence), and other Marvel Blu-ray staples.

Though the press release didn’t include a retail value, Amazon is selling the set for $39.99. Would you spend the money? Let us know in the comments! You can see the box set art below:

“Marvel’s Daredevil” follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), attorney by day and vigilante by night. Blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses as Daredevil, fighting crime on the streets of New York after the sun goes down. His efforts are not welcomed by powerful businessman Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and others whose interests collide with those of Daredevil. Though Murdock’s day job portrays a man who believes in the criminal justice system, his alter ego suggests otherwise, as he takes the law into his own hands to protect his Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and the surrounding communities.
