With a little under two weeks left to go until Netflix releases Daredevil, their 13-episode debut season of the popular Marvel character, the streaming service has released yet another advertising spot for the series. The 30-second spot highlights Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) being taken under wing by Scott Glenn’s Stick, who teaches him the skills that he will need to become the titular hero. There’s also solid fight-scene footage, as well as a clear look at Vincent D’Onofrio’s Walton Fisk, the crime boss better known as Kingpin to fans of the Marvel source material. There’re also a few glimpses of Karen Page, played by Deborah Ann Woll of True Blood fame, who becomes Murdock’s primary love interest. On top of this, Netflix has released a set of five nifty character posters for the highly anticipated series.

Daredevil is, of course, the first of what will eventually be a line of projects spearheaded by Netlfix and Marvel. Next on the list is the much-hyped AKA Jessica Jones, which will star Krysten Ritter in the titular role alongside Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachael Taylor, Erin Moriarty, and Eka Darville (Empire). She’ll also be joined by Mike Colter (The Good Wife), who is set to play Luke Cage in AKA Jessica Jones, a forthcoming Luke Cage series, and a mini-series centered on The Defenders, all of which will premiere on Netflix over the coming years. Last but not least is the Iron Fist series, which has yet to announce much in the way of casting or the creative personnel who will be shepherding the project, outside of Stan Lee, Netflix, and Marvel. As for Daredevil, the footage looks more than promising and as overrated as The Cabin in the Woods is, Drew Goddard definitely has the chops to give this series the inventive spark that the 2003 film version of this character lacked.
