What a coincidence. On the eve of Collider’s big IMAX fan screening of Deadpool in Los Angeles, 20th Century Fox has released an IMAX-centric featurette for the R-rated superhero movie. In the clip, director Tim Miller talks about his passion for comic books in general and how he thinks Deadpool stands in stark contrast—both visually and tone-wise—from Marvel’s other superhero output. And this being an IMAX featurette and all, Miller also discusses the benefit of getting the large-format presentation for what he hopes will be an epic moviegoing experience.

Collider’s own Steve Weintraub will be hosting tonight’s Deadpool IMAX screening, with a Q&A with the filmmakers and some of the cast to follow. We’ll have video of the entire Q&A up on Collider shortly afterward, so if you’re bummed you can’t make the screening, not to fear—at least you’ll be able to watch the Q&A! And given how dense our previous Q&A with Captain America filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo was, this will surely be a conversation you won’t want to miss.

For now, though, check out the Deadpool featurette below. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Yorick Van Wageningen, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand. Deadpool opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on February 12th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Deadpool:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
