For some inexplicable reason, Deadpool fans want the character to host Saturday Night Live, and while that will thankfully never happen (it’s a show with no hard-R cursing and they hate it when people intentionally break character, so someone who breaks the fourth wall isn’t going to fit particularly well), Ryan Reynolds decided to have a little fun with the idea as well as spoof Kanye West’s recent backstage rant against executive producer Lorne Michaels.
While that means you have to keep a lot of info in your head to even moderately appreciate what’s a slight joke at best, this is best viewed as fan appreciation. A courteous “Thanks, but no thanks,” as only Deadpool could say it—with lots of cursing and even an MC Hammer reference.
Check out the video below. Deadpool is currently playing in theaters and dominating at the box office.
Actually DEADPOOL was going to host back in the 90s, but then this happened. Thank god Tom Hanks was available.https://t.co/7pyPEMysdY
