At this weekend's WonderCon in San Francisco, I was able to interview director Jon Turteltaub about The Sorcerer's Apprentice and National Treasure 3. During the interview he talked about filming in NYC, Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel, what did it mean to him to direct Sorcerer's Apprentice, 3D, what does he geek out over, and what's the status of National Treasure 3.
The big news for National Treasure fans is it sound like the rumors of the next one taking place in Europe are accurate and Disney wants NT3 to be his next film. But he's still not sure what he'll do next. We also talked 3D and he revealed he wanted to do Sorcerer's Apprentice in 3D but when he pitched it to Disney, they didn't want to do it.
