If you’re having trouble keeping all of your dystopian YA adaptations straight, you’re in luck.  Summit Entertainment has released a featurette for director Neil Burger’s new film Divergent, clearly explaining the world of the film and how it stands apart from other YA fare.  Based on the novel by Veronica Roth, the futuristic thriller takes place in a society where people are divided into factions based on their personalities. Tris (Shailene Woodley) is a young girl who doesn’t fit into any of the pre-assigned groups and faces grave consequences due to her status as a “Divergent.”  This featurette further illuminates the intriguing world of Divergent, as Roth and stars Kate Winslet, Shailene Woodley, and Theo James offer their thoughts on the film.  Roth’s novel is a really fun page-turner that’s surprisingly violent, so hopefully Burger’s film adaptation delivers.
