Last night, Marvel released the first Doctor Strange trailer online, and now we’ve collected over forty images from that trailer for your viewing pleasure. The film, directed by Scott Derrickson (Deliver Us From Evil), is certainly a feast for the eyes with its Inception-style visuals and Tilda Swinton punching the souls out of people’s bodies. I didn’t think Derrickson had a film like this in him, but this trailer is definitely keeping in tune with the psychedelic styling of the original comics, and I can’t wait to see more.
Check out the Doctor Strange trailer images below. The film opens November 4th, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, Swinton as The Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Mads Mikkelsen as the mysterious villain, an evil “sorcerer who breaks off into his own sect,” Rachel McAdams as “a fellow surgeon that has a history with Strange,” Tilda Swinton as the gender-swapped Ancient One, and Benedict Wong as Strange’s trusted associate, Wong plus Michael Stuhlbarg, Scott Adkins, and Amy Landecker in undisclosed roles.
