Eric Balfour and Donald Faison are set to star in the new sci-fi thriller Skyline. The movie, written by Joshua Cordes and Liam O'Donnell, takes place on a high-rise in Los Angeles where a small group of survivors find that a deadly force is killing off humanity when they step outside. THR is reporting that Faison is set to play an entrepreneur who is finally able to lure his longtime friend, played by Balfour, out to L.A. for some partying.

The film is being directed by special effects wizards Greg and Colin Strause, who have worked on such projects as Avatar, Book of Eli, Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem, and 300. The two clearly know their way around the action film, which is something to be excited about. Other notable actors from the cast would be Scottie Thompson (NBC's Trauma) and Brittney Daniel (White Chicks).

Balfour was last seen in a string of flops, most notably The Spirit, Hell Ride, and The Horsemen. Faison still reprises his role as Turk on the television show Scrubs, currently on ABC. The movie is currently filming in L.A.
