Netflix has debuted a set of character posters for the upcoming comedy-drama Don’t Look Up. Featuring one of starriest casts in recent memory, Don’t Look Up is a satire about the climate crisis.

It’s kind of appropriate that the stars on the new posters, for a film about a natural disaster originating from outer space, are all gazing up at the sky. Everybody from leads Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence to supporting players such as Tyler Perry and Cate Blanchett get their own one-sheets. While none of the posters reveal much about the characters, beyond the slightest hint of their personalities, they really have just one purpose: to draw the audience’s attention to the sheer talent that director Adam McKay has assembled for his film.

DiCaprio and Lawrence play a couple of low-level astronomers who go from pillar to post essentially yelling “The end is nigh.” They’ve spotted a comet on collision course with Earth, but must contend with apathetic politicians and an indifferent news media. For the environmentally-conscious DiCaprio, the project has added personal relevance, as well.

The Oscar-winner wears an expression of concern on his face as he stares at the incoming comet. And one look at Jonah Hill’s poster makes it abundantly clear why the actor described his character like this: “I thought, what if Fyre Festival was a person and that person had power in the White House.” Meryl Streep, meanwhile, plays the fictional President Orlean, and Rob Morgan plays Dr. Teddy Oglethorpe, a scientist who helps DiCaprio and Lawrence’s characters on their media tour.

Other cast members to have gotten their own character posters include Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi, and Timothée Chalamet. The film also features Himesh Patel as Phillip, Matthew Perry as General David Myers, Chris Evans as Secretary of Defense Robert Anderson, Tomer Sisley as Adul Greilo, Melanie Lynskey as June and Michael Chiklis as Dan Pawketty.

Don’t Look Up is the latest in McKay’s ongoing career pivot to more dramatic cinema, after a very successful career as the writer and director of broad comedies such as Anchorman and Step Brothers. McKay won an Oscar for co-writing The Big Short, another star-studded comedy-drama about a global crisis: the Great Recession of 2007-2008. He followed it up with Vice, which was projected as a major awards contender and scored eight nominations at the Oscars, but was objectively divisive as far as critical reception is concerned.

Don’t Look Up premiered earlier this week and will get a token theatrical release on December 10 ahead of a Netflix debut on December 24. You can check out the new posters here:
