Square Enix has revealed more information about their upcoming Dragon Quest X Offline. They give some details about one of the five main regions in Astoltia, and some of the residents that live there, along with sharing screenshots.

The first area that Square Enix introduces is Pukuland, which is the lushest continent within the game's world. Most of the places in this continent have a rich climate and are full of vast grasslands, with many flowers among them. These flowers are actually the trademark of Pukuland, with many buildings even being modeled after them. This area is where the Pukulet Village resides, and the Glittering Windmill Tower and Megistris Capital are known as tourist spots. Also there is Orphea Town, which hosts entertainment centers like Circus.

The inhabitants of Pukuland are the Poppets. They are a race that loves laughter and dreams, and are full of curiosity. While in the continent, you will meet many different Poppets. Some will include Pilippo, Pudding, Nablet, Inspector Pacre, Laguas, Fosteil.

The original Dragon Quest X was a MMO that was originally released for the Wii in 2012. In it, you create your own character, and after an attack by the Lord of Hell Nelgel, your soul is forced into the body of another race. The character must then gather magical gems in order to seal Nelgel. Dragon Quest X Offline looks to bring the game to a single player mode, so that players can experience the story without having to worry about an online subscription.

The combat in Offline uses the series' traditional turn based combat, allowing you to choose which action you want your party members to take. There will also be a Tactics command, which will give the party members a general direction on what to do, while leaving the rest up to the AI. There are six Vocations (which act as classes) in the game which the player can choose the protagonist to be, each giving you a different playstyle.

Dragon Quest X Offline is set for a Japan release on February 26, 2022, and will be available for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The original Dragon Quest X was never released outside of Japan, and as of now, there is no announcement of the Offline version having an English localization.
