Lionsgate has sent over a motion poster for Pete Travis' upcoming Judge Dredd adaptation, Dredd.  The film will hew much closer to the original comics than the awful 1995 Sylvester Stallone film, and the first trailer wasn't too bad (although the plot has the misfortune of resembling The Raid even though Dredd wrapped shooting well before The Raid even hit theaters).  This motion poster is pretty fun especially if you've ever wanted the protagonist to shoot you.Hit the jump to check out the motion poster (be sure to adjust your speakers since it autoplays and there's sound), and click here for details on how to win tickets to see the flick at Comic-Con.  The film stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, and Lena Headey.  Dredd opens in 3D on September 21st.  The 2012 San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 12 - 15th.Here’s the official synopsis for Dredd:

Dredd takes place on a fictional Earth created as a result of the Atomic Wars. Survivors of this period are living in Mega-Cities, which protects its citizens from the Cursed Earth, a radioactive desert environment populated by mutants. The main story takes place in Mega-City One, where the police who are now called judges have the power to use police brutality to some extent to fight extreme murders. One man, Judge Dredd (Karl Urban), a senior law enforcement officer, teams up with a cadet called Judge Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) to track down a terrorist organization lead by Ma-Ma (Lena Headey), who is responsible for selling a reality-altering drug called Slo-Mo.
