First up from Heat Vision is news of Johnson's latest project, Seal Team 666.  Scripted by Evan Spiliotopoulos - who also wrote Johnson's recently wrapped film, Hercules - the picture is an adaptation of author Weston Ochse' SEAL Team 666: A Novel.  The project, which is currently seeking a director, "follows an elite group of Navy Seals who battle demons and assorted threats and discover that there’s a greater supernatural force bent on destroying the world."

Here's the book's description (via Amazon):

Weston Ochse's SEAL Team 666 follows Cadet Jack Walker. Halfway through SEAL training, he's still green but showing incredible promise when he's whisked away to join four SEALs—and their dog—for a special ops mission. Walker soon finds himself in a whirlwind of otherworldly creatures and events as he finds out the true nature of this “special ops” team: SEAL Team 666. Battling demons, possessed humans, mass-murdering cults, and evil in its most dark and primeval form, SEAL Team 666 has their work cut out for them. And it’s not long before they realize that the threat isn’t just directed against the U.S.—an ancient and deadly cult has bigger plans, and Walker is at the center of a supernatural conflict with the entire world at stake.

From Deadline comes news of Garfield and Shannon starring in 99 Homes.  Bahrani co-wrote the script with Amir Naderi and Bahareh Azimi‐Khoie; their story follows "an unemployed contractor who gets evicted from his family home with his mother and his nine‐year old son. Desperate to get his home back, he strikes a deal to work for the powerful, greedy, charming, gun‐toting real estate broker (Shannon) who evicted him. While it puts a roof over his daughter’s head, becoming the broker’s apprentice puts the contractor in a moral bind: is having a home worth losing your values and soul?" Production will start November 18th in New Orleans.
