Finally opening up on November 9th is “Southland Tales,” the new film from writer/director Richard Kelly. If his name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you saw his first film, “Donnie Darko.”

By now most of you know the deal with “Southland Tales.” The film premiered at

Cannes a few years ago and it didn’t go over well. Audiences who saw the only screening of the eagerly awaited follow up to “Darko” were left scratching their heads.

But now, after a long time editing the movie and getting some extra money to finish the special effects, Richard has finally completed the film and it’ll be everywhere next Friday. So to help you get ready for the movie, earlier today I was able to interview

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

In the movie Dwayne plays Boxer Santaros, an action star stricken with amnesia, and Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Krysta Now - an adult film star developing her own reality television project. Trust me, both play characters that are completely unique in their acting careers.

And something interesting that came out during my interview was Dwayne saying that he’s interested in playing Black Adam in “Shazam.” I was also able to ask Sarah about “Alice,” and she gave me an update with what was going on with the project. It’s a great interview and one worth watching.

Finally, if you missed the movie clips that I posted from “Southland Tales” you can watch them here.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Sarah Michelle Gellar

  • What drew them to the project? Sarah describes the initial meeting with Richard.

  • What was the most challenging part of making Southland Tales?

  • Since they both have a lot of projects coming up, I ask what they’re most looking forward to.

  • I ask Dwayne if he’s going to be doing Shazam and he says he’s meeting with Peter Segal (the director) tonight and he’s thinking about Black Adam.

  • I then ask Sarah about Alice – a project that she’s been trying to get off the ground for awhile. It’s the story of Alice (from Alice in Wonderland) after she gets back from her adventures.
