If you're a gamer, you've probably heard of the BEYOND: Two Souls, the latest from the makers of the award-winning hit Heavy Rain.  Starring Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, the cinematic experience ushers in a new generation of interactive gaming.  Here's the synopsis:

Jodie Holmes (Page) has always been a little different. Aided by scientist Nathan Dawkins (Dafoe), she discovers a connection to a mysterious entity called Aiden with incredible powers, setting off a thrilling, globe-spanning journey to discover the truth about who she is. Told in a non-chronological narrative, BEYOND: Two Souls takes players on a journey spanning over 15 years of Jodie’s life.  Experience the most striking moments of Jodie’s life as your actions and decisions determine her fate. Throughout this epic journey, Jodie will face extraordinary challenges against a backdrop of emotionally-charged events never before seen in a video game.

With the game being released this week on the PS3, a few days ago I got to speak with Page here in Los Angeles.  She talked about why she wanted to be involved, how much changed during production, what surprised her when she played it for the first time, and more.  In addition, for fans of the X-Men franchise, I asked her about making X-Men: Days of Future Past.  Hit the jump to watch.

Ellen Page:

  • Is it cooler to have worked with Christopher Nolan or to be the lead in a video game.
  • What made her want to be involved in the game.
  • Did anything surprise her when playing the game for the first time.
  • How much changed during production.
  • What can she say about X-Men: Days of Future Past?
