He’s back, baby. Starz has released a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Evil Dead TV show Ash vs. Evil Dead, and it’s a wonderful enticement of the fun to come. Executive produced by Evil Dead creators Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and star Bruce Campbell, the series is the latest entry in the Evil Dead franchise and finds Ash once again battling a Deadite plague after 30 years of avoiding responsibility, maturity, and the terrors of the Evil Dead.

Raimi co-wrote the first episode with Ivan Raimi and Tom Spezialy and is also directing the ep, which is currently in production in New Zealand. Campbell is joined in the 10-episode first season by Lucy Lawless as a mysterious figure who thinks Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks, Ray Santiago (Touch) as an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash’s loyal sidekick, Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas) as a “moody wild child” trying to outrun her past, and Jill Marie Jones (Sleepy Hollow) as a disgraced Michigan State Trooper bent on finding Ash and holding him responsible for her partner’s death.

Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.  When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal.  Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.
